Statement of Faith

Of the Scriptures
We believe that the Bible was written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe that it is the manual for living a life in relationship with God. The scriptures hold God’s principles and standards for us to live by, providing the process of salvation and redemption of man.
Of the True God
We believe that there is only one True God and his name is Jehovah. He is the Creator of all things, ruler of heaven and earth. He is Holy, and he is love. He is worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. He is comprised of three distinct persons which are God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, all of which make up the one true God that was there in the beginning.

Of the Fall of Man
We believe that Man was created by God is his own image, holy, and free from sin. However, by voluntarily transgressing he fell from his original state of holiness and righteousness. Where unredeemed man inherited a corrupt nature void of holiness, and inclined to evil.

Of the Way of Salvation
We believe that salvation of sinners is provided by faith in Jesus Christ through grace. Who came down forty and two generations and wrapped himself in flesh and fulfilled the law without sinning. Jesus alone shed his blood for the atonement of our sins whereby he died, was buried, and rose again on the third day and now stands at the right hand of God and intercedes on our behalf.

Of Justification
We believe that justification is the pardon of sin for those who believe in God. Justification that is secured for all eternity through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ and belief upon him. Not given by works lest any man should boast, but as a free gift.

Of the Freeness of Salvation
We believe that the gift of salvation is free to all by the gospel of Jesus Christ. That upon hearing the Good News a sinner, no matter what state, has the opportunity to receive salvation through belief in Christ Jesus.

Of Grace in Regeneration
We believe that the Grace of Regeneration is a changed heart/mind by the work of the Holy Spirit. As to enlighten the mind for the understanding of the Word of God, changing their very nature. So now we voluntarily obey the Word of God and practice holiness in our daily walk.

Of Repentance and Faith
We believe that Repentance and Faith are both duties that must be adhered to. Repentance by the Holy Ghost is the conviction of sin with Godly sorrow to the detestation of it. Progressing in our walk before God in a manner that is pleasing to him. The Saving Faith is the belief in God’s word revealed concerning Christ and the accepting of his grace unto justification and eternal life.

Of God’s Purpose of Grace
We believe that God’s purpose of grace is election unto eternal life. Whereby God regenerates, saves and sanctifies us to be infinitely free. Not due to the foreseen merit in them, but only through the mere mercy in Christ.

Of Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is the process whereby we are made unto holiness. That God supplies divine strength for us to seek and obtain a heavenly life in obedience to Christ’s commands. Which is the Holy Spirit provides in his presence and our continual study of God’s word, self-denial, self-examination, watchfulness and prayer.

Of the Perseverance of Saints
We believe that only the real believers in Christ will endure until the end. Those whom God has accepted and sanctified by his Spirit, will never totally or finally fall away from the state of grace. But will endure till the end. Though they may fall into sin, they will also be renewed by repentance and kept by the power of God through faith.

Of the Harmony of the Law and the Gospel
We believe that God’s Laws is unchanging and will stand forever. It is the moral standard that is holy and good in all things. The love of sin is the only inhibitor from restoration and deliverance, which is brought through Jesus Christ.

Of a Gospel Church
We believe that the church of Christ is a congregation of baptized believers. Where Jesus Christ is the Head and has all power to govern and rule. That these baptized believers are associated by covenant in faith, obeying the laws and exercising the gifts given them by the Holy Ghost.

Of Baptism and the Lords Supper
We believe that Baptism is the immersion of the believers’ whole body in water, in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost as a sign of his fellowship with the death and resurrection of Christ and our death to sin and resurrection as a new creature in Christ. It is necessary to be baptized before participating in the Lords Supper. In which the saints of God partake of the sacred bread and wine as a commemoration to the sacrifice that was made by Jesus Christ, in the atonement of their sins.

Of the Christian Sabbath
We believe that the first day of the week is the Sabbath or the Lords Day. It is to be kept sacred and special and should be used in exercises of worship and spiritual devotion.

Of the Government
We believe that all civil government is by divine appointment for the good of God’s purpose and human society.

Of the Righteous and the Wicked
We believe that there is a difference between the righteous and the wicked. The righteous are those who have faith in Jesus Christ, and have been sanctified by the Spirit of God and serve the Lord by living in faith. The wicked are those who practice a life of sin and unbelief.

Of the World to Come
We believe that the world is coming to an end, and on that day Jesus Christ will return from heaven. He will raise the dead from the grave and those alive in Christ will be caught up with him in the clouds. He will then punish the wicked to eternal death in hell and the righteous, he will reward.
